Church of Arockia Matha at Mathapalayam of Valipalayam parish in the diocese of Coimbatore.

A new church was built and blessed and inaugurated by Rt. Rev. L. Thomas Aquinas, Bishop of Coimbatore on 16/05/2008.

This is the third known church in the village. The first one being too small was demolished in 1964 and a new one was built. Due to seepage of rain water the walls were weakened and threatened to collapse anytime. Since it was beyond economical repairs, it was pulled down and a new church was built with the funds from the Diocese.
